The Morningside Tennis Club (MTC) is a very different place today than it was just three years ago. An extensive redevelopment in 2013 has seen the addition of 2 hard courts, the resurfacing of all 10 original courts, new ITF (International Tennis Federation) standard low lighting, a refurbished clubhouse and pro-shop, the building of a huge, covered deck area and much more.
The MTC is now home to 1500 members, over 500 regular coaching students each week, more than 50 competition teams, 100+ social tennis players and will host a series of Tennis Australia tournaments in 2014.
The club is run by Tennis Gear in conjunction with the QCLTA in what has been an extremely successful partnership and is a leading example of what is possible within a club committee / professional operator partnership. This has culminated with the Morningside Tennis Centre being awarded the 2014 Tennis Queensland ‘Club of the Year’ and 2014 Tennis Australia ‘Most Outstanding Club’.
