Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The QLCTA (Morningside Tennis Centre) AGM will be held on Sunday, the 27th of January, 2008  at 2pm in the clubhouse.

All members are encouraged to attend. The AGM provides an opportunity for you to have a say in any aspect of the clubs activities.

One of the major items on the agenda is the election of members to the Management Committee.

Keen tennis players should think about nominating for the management committee. The available roles include President, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer, and 4 Vice-Presidents who will be elected for one of the following specific duties:- Public Liaison, Fixtures and Championships. Social Committee, Special Projects. Anyone who is not interested in taking up a vice president position but would like to be part of the management committee can nominate to assist as a general executive officer.

Anyone interested should use the nomination form to nominate for a position. (obtain a copy from the club or print it from the website under clubinfo/committee ). Nominations must be received by 5 PM, Sunday, 13th January, 2008.  

If there are an insufficient number of candidates nominated before the meeting, nominations may be taken from the floor.

Other items on the agenda include the annual report, the financial statements and the setting of membership fees for 2008.

Members who attend and sign the attendance register will be entitled to stay for free tennis after the meeting until 6pm and a free sausage sizzle. This offer is exclusive to members.

1st Season Fixtures 2008
The 2008 Fixture season starts in the first weekend in March. So gather your teams for another exciting fixture season.
There is a choice of 4 internal competitions on Sundays and 4 BNTA weekday competitions.
Players need to rejoin the club for 2008 to be eligible to play in Club Tournaments and Fixtures.
New members are required to attend a grading session. Grading sessions will be held the first two  weekends in February on Sunday at 4pm. If you cannot attend this time another time may be organised, please call the club to arrange. Grading sessions will be held as demand requires, so anyone wishing to attend a grading should please call 3899-8110 to book a session.
The 2008 application form will be available at the club and on the website after the AGM
 
Social Tennis
If you feeling a bit rusty and would like a hit before fixture start, please remember that Sunday social tennis is on every weekend from 4pm, $8 per person.
Normal Monday night and Thursday night social is also still on from 7:30pm.
